Children and Youth at Ss Peter and Paul

As a church, we are committed to seeing our children and young people come to Christian faith for themselves. There is a variety of provision for children and young people at Ss Peter’s and Pauls.

  • Once a month, during term-time, on the second Monday of the month, Toddler Praise takes place which is at 10.30-11.45am. It includes singing, story, craft, play, chat and refreshments for children aged 0-5 and their carers, everyone welcome.
  • Once a month, on the third Saturday of the month, Melody Makers is a singing group for children aged 7 to 17. They meet in church every Thursday during term time from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and lead the singing at the All Age Church Service on the 2nd Sunday of the month.Children are given the opportunity to enhance their singing skills and learn to read music, following the Royal School of Church Music’s ‘Voice for Life’ programme. They can achieve singing awards at various levels and can even use these as part of the Duke of Edinburgh awards. Melody Makers believe in having fun and building team spirit, so have a social event every term. For more details contact Stephen Thomas, MM Leader, on 07774 612651 or 01732 842920 or st@stephenthomaslaw.co.uk
  • We support our Team Messy Church, which meets monthly on the fourth Sunday of the month at 4.00 p.m. and rotates around a variety of local venues in our seven parishes.
  • We also support Stepping Stones, a Friday after-school club who meet in Ryarsh.
  • Teenagers in school years 9 to 13 attend our Team Youth Group called ‘Fusion’ which meets monthly at St Martin’s, Ryarsh on a Friday evening. They are also encouraged to join in on Sundays with the adults and take part in the life of the church in various ways.

It is important that our children and young people are safe when in the care of adults running our activities. We are committed to making sure we follow best practice in safeguarding. Further details are available in our safeguarding policy statement here.
