Alpha Course at St Michael’s

At St Michael’s we usually run an Alpha Course in the Autumn on a weekday evening.  All sessions centre around a good hot meal and an opportunity to hear and talk about issues of the Christian faith. We start at 7.30 p.m. and finish by 9.15 p.m.  The venue is the Jabez Barn, Church Farm, Church Road, Offham ME19 5NZ (right next to the church) and there is no cost involved.  It is completely free to attend!

For those who have not before heard of Alpha before, it may help to know that it is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks.  Each talk looks at different questions around the basics of Christian belief and is designed to create discussion and conversation.  Alpha started at a church in London, but it is now run all around the globe in all sorts of different cultures and places. Alpha courses meet in cafés, churches, universities, homes – you name it.  No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk, and good conversation.

Alpha course mealSo, who can come along?  Well, everyone is welcome.  You may be someone who would like an opportunity to revisit some of the basics of your Christian faith or you may be someone who would not consider themselves to be a Christian or a church-goer but would like to explore more about God, the meaning of life, and what Christianity has to offer.

Oh…and you don’t necessarily have to live in Offham!

If you, or someone you know, is interested then please contact us via this website.  We look forward to hearing from you.
