Children and Youth at St Margaret’s

As a church, we are committed to seeing our children and young people come to Christian faith for themselves. All of our services are “all age” and your children are most welome. In addition:

“Children’s Church” covers children from reception age to year eight. On the second Sunday of each month, Children’s Church is part of Café Church, and on the third Sunday it also takes place during the Open House morning service.

Once a month, on the fourth Sunday of the month, we have Messy Church at 4pm which rotates around the seven Parishes. Find out more about Messy Church here.

  • We also support Stepping Stones, a free church children’s group for primary school aged children (aged 4 to 11 years old). They meet in Ryarsh Church Hall as an after-school club on a Friday evening between 5.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

  • The young people receive instruction on how to make chocolate at FusionTeenagers in school years 9 to 13 attend our Team Youth Group called ‘Fusion’ which meets monthly at St Martin’s, Ryarsh on a Friday evening. They are also encouraged to join in on Sundays with the adults and take part in the life of the church in various ways.

It is important that our children and young people are safe when in the care of adults running our activities. We are committed to making sure we follow best practice in safeguarding. You can find out more about safeguarding at St Margaret’s here, or read further details about the Kent Downs & Malling Team’s safeguarding policy statement here.
