About our services

St Martin's Ryarsh poppies from the tower9.30 on Sunday (Twice a Month)

The main morning service takes place fortnightly at St Martin’s at 9.30 a.m. on a Sunday.

We are a church of all ages, with a broadly evangelical tradition. Our style of worship is relatively informal and we seek to include all ages in all that we do. A music group leads our singing and we follow along with a short service sheet of songs and prayers. We aim to include children and young people at each service with a short talk or task or activity pack with the goal of worshiping God together and making known the good news about Jesus Christ as he is revealed in the Bible, which is the heart of our teaching.

Although things occasionally change, every month there’s a fairly regular pattern of styles within our worship.

  1. On the first Sunday, we host “All-Age Holy Communion”. One of our ordained Ministers is always with us to lead the service and celebrate the Eucharist.
  2. On the second Sunday of the month there is no service at St Martin’s.
  3. On the third Sunday of the month, we host “All-Age Family Service”. The service is not eucharistic and is led by either one of our ordained Ministers or our own congregation. The format is short and informal and seeks to fully include children and young people.
  4. On the fourth Sunday of the month there is no service at St Martin’s.
