The young people receive instruction on how to make chocolate at Fusion

Fusion makes chocolate!

On Friday the 5th January, Suzanne and Nick from the Chocolate Umbrella, West Malling visited our Fusion Youth Group to tell us about the history of chocolate making and give us the opportunity to have a go at making some yummy chocolate truffles.

Fusion leaders Sarah and Rev Kelly had a race to see who could melt the chocolate into the boiling cream the quickest and Sarah won!  When the chocolate had cooled everyone had a go at making some truffles.  It was great fun shaping the truffles and rolling them in a range of coatings.

Once the truffles had set, three were bagged up for each person to take home and one was used in a time of reflection that prompted everyone to think about the following questions:

  • When do you stop?
  • When do you seek God?
  • What does He say to you?

A fantastic time was had by all.

If you are a secondary school aged person, or you know someone of that age, that might like to join Fusion, please do contact us. We would love to welcome new members to our sessions.
